Summer Time!

We have been very busy lately. It has been a hot summer. We were enjoying summer activities until I got hurt. (I will explain later) We have been spending lots of time with family. It is a favorite pastime of ours. Kendall had her 15 month check up last week, and she is now in 21 pounds (24%) and 29 inches tall (12%). She is now climbing on everything she can. She is super picky when it comes to food. Her favorite things to eat right now are oranges, mac and cheese (eww), bananas, oatmeal, anything sweet, watermelon, yogurt, pretzels, and cheerios. She takes a regular nap during the day, just one. She is in bed my 9 p.m. and up by 7:30 a.m. She has been teething the last week or so and so she is super sassy, whiny, and grumpy. But usually she is a happy girl. She loves being outside, and cries every time we bring her in. She  loves music, and likes to sing and dance. She is such a show off. lol. She wants to be a big girl and do everything for herself, which is frustrating sometimes. But it means she is growing up. which is bitter sweet for me! Anyways, the last Wednesday in June we went swimming at my parents house, after wards we decide to give Kendall a bath there, in case she falls asleep on the way home. I have the bright idea to take a shower right after we give her bath, and almost immediately, i slip and fall in the shower. I dislocate my knee cap to the point that i cant put it back in place, and sprained my ankle pretty badly. Hours later after going to the Hospital in an ambulance, and having x-rays, and being very drugged up to have them put my knee cap back in place, I'm sent home. I have since had an MRI and starting physical therapy next week and will have to have surgery on my knee. (UGH!) Anyways, we have very blessed with people helping us out from my family to friends from church. (Luckily we are blessed to have very good insurance!) So I'm getting around much better now. Kendall is wary of the whole thing, and has been distant from me, because she just doesn't understand why I cant play with her, or carry her, and such. She is slowly warming back up to me. This is been a very hard trial an me, and I'm grateful for my husband and his strength, and how well he is handling all of this. He has been daddy and mommy for the last 3 weeks, and its frustrating for all of us at times, but he is doing well. SO that is how we are doing. More updates later.
