Catching up! (Picture Overload)

It has been a very long time since I have posted on here. But life just gets a little busy sometimes! Here are some pictures from Halloween. Kendall and I were in Utah for Halloween at my brothers house. Kendall was a cute little ghost. I made her costume. It was fun. Kendall didn't really enjoy trick or treating and neither did I! The last picture shows her complete meltdown when we decided to call it a night.

Here are some pictures from the trip out west.

We had a fun last minute trip out west to Utah. I'm so glad we went. It was fun, and so nice to see my brothers and their families. 2 weeks after getting back from Utah I had my knee surgery. I'm healing very well. It has been 7 weeks. Christmas was good. I will post those pictures later.

Summer Time!

We have been very busy lately. It has been a hot summer. We were enjoying summer activities until I got hurt. (I will explain later) We have been spending lots of time with family. It is a favorite pastime of ours. Kendall had her 15 month check up last week, and she is now in 21 pounds (24%) and 29 inches tall (12%). She is now climbing on everything she can. She is super picky when it comes to food. Her favorite things to eat right now are oranges, mac and cheese (eww), bananas, oatmeal, anything sweet, watermelon, yogurt, pretzels, and cheerios. She takes a regular nap during the day, just one. She is in bed my 9 p.m. and up by 7:30 a.m. She has been teething the last week or so and so she is super sassy, whiny, and grumpy. But usually she is a happy girl. She loves being outside, and cries every time we bring her in. She  loves music, and likes to sing and dance. She is such a show off. lol. She wants to be a big girl and do everything for herself, which is frustrating sometimes. But it means she is growing up. which is bitter sweet for me! Anyways, the last Wednesday in June we went swimming at my parents house, after wards we decide to give Kendall a bath there, in case she falls asleep on the way home. I have the bright idea to take a shower right after we give her bath, and almost immediately, i slip and fall in the shower. I dislocate my knee cap to the point that i cant put it back in place, and sprained my ankle pretty badly. Hours later after going to the Hospital in an ambulance, and having x-rays, and being very drugged up to have them put my knee cap back in place, I'm sent home. I have since had an MRI and starting physical therapy next week and will have to have surgery on my knee. (UGH!) Anyways, we have very blessed with people helping us out from my family to friends from church. (Luckily we are blessed to have very good insurance!) So I'm getting around much better now. Kendall is wary of the whole thing, and has been distant from me, because she just doesn't understand why I cant play with her, or carry her, and such. She is slowly warming back up to me. This is been a very hard trial an me, and I'm grateful for my husband and his strength, and how well he is handling all of this. He has been daddy and mommy for the last 3 weeks, and its frustrating for all of us at times, but he is doing well. SO that is how we are doing. More updates later.

Updates on all of us!

So Kendall,  I suppose is no longer a baby, but a toddler. She is a very busy little girl, who again is super opinionated! She is currently f=going through a mommy phase. She almost sometimes wants nothing to do with Dave. She loves to cuddle with me all the time! ( I love all the cuddles, but it makes Dave sad, because he wants cuddle too!). She is walking very well, and is getting fast, almost a run! She is into EVERYTHING still. So much so that we inverted in a very sturdy baby gate so she can't enter the kitchen area. She very much hates this, and cries at the gate when we are in there. We only do this, because there is no room in our kitchen with both of us and her in it. Its kind of small. She is sleeping through the night, going to bed by 8:45 and up by 7:15. OH!! AND she no longer nurses! it's been about a full 6-8 days with no breast feeding! It was so much easier than I thought it would be. She was just ready. She really doesn't like the taste of whole milk, so i mix it with yogurt, and that satisfies her.
Dave and I are doing well. Yes we do exist  I sometimes forget that! Dave is working hard at work, working for incentive. HE's also been busy (well we both have) working on our new home. We love our new home, also finding out that owning a home is a little stressful at times, but so worth it. I received a new calling at church, and am the first counselor in Primary. I'm excited to be working with the children and the other ladies in the presidency. It's a very busy calling though, that will be a little hard sometimes. Dave is still first counselor in Elders Quorum. Oh and Dave and I get to go on a date Saturday, first one in a long time!

Kendall's First Birthday!! (Lots of Pictures)

Kendall turned 1!!! Crazy how fast time flies. It seems just like yesterday she was born. Now she is a walking, jibber jabbering little girl! She is a very independent, social, active little girl. She takes a daily nap and is finally sleeping through most of the night. She will wake up, and cry herself back to sleep. She is kind of a picky eater. Her favorite things to eat are bananas, yogurt, cheese, and Cheerios. We are constantly having her try new things. Right now we are trying to get her to drink whole milk, and she doesn't like it at all. She loves playing outside, (loves walks)and loves all of her toys, She especially loves getting into all of the cupboards in the kitchen. She is a little shadow, always following mommy or daddy around the house. She says mama, dada, hi, uh-oh, nana, daddy, and many things that I couldn't even to begin to try and spell. She claps, waves hi or bye, points, gives hugs, and kisses and walks all the time, and is now working on climbing on things. She is a very opinionated little girl. She knows what she wants and what she doesn't want, and she will for sure let you know either way. She gets sad when daddy leaves for work, and still likes nursing from mommy twice a day. She is not shy and loves most people. I love this little girl more than I can ever express, and she amazes me everyday! I can't wait to spend many more years with her.

11 Months Old 3/7/13

Kendall Loves Making Funny faces, but right now, its the snarl face she's making in the clover dress. She is so funny. She started walking right after she turned 11 months. Crazy! she is everywhere, and into everything! It's fun. She is a VERY BUSY GIRL!!! She is constantly doing something. She is taking 1 nap a day usually and 1-2 1/2 hour naps. Which is good for both of us! HAHA. We moved into our new house, (that we bought, Yup, we bought our first house!) She loves roaming everywhere in it. She is a generally very happy girl, she's starting to throw tantrums, not fun. But what can you do. She is a SUPER picky eater. I'm sort of a lost here. She has winged herself off baby food, but she doesn't like other food, she wont eat any yogurt with fruit pieces or seeds, it has to be smooth, she will eat turkey hot dogs, hates healthy mac and cheese, loves grapes and bananas, doesn't like the texture of chicken, beef, or lunch meat! She wants nothing to do with any kind of beans,or veggies. She will eat something for a minute, then hate it! haha, SO PICKY (Just like her Daddy!) lol. Church, is so difficult, Dave and I take turns enjoying the teachings, while the other takes her into the halls. Her birthday is coming up soon, and we can't wait to celebrate it! Anyways have a great day.

10 Months and Busy, Busy, Busy.

Kendall is now 10 months old!! she is growing way to fast for my liking! She is a very fast crawler. She pulls herself up on anything she can, and is now free standing! AWWW. She is going to be walking soon. She doesn't like much new food  She is very picky. She sorta just wants her baby food still, which is getting to be very expensive, I wish she would just eat, what we are eating. She is quite the talker. She has so much to say about everything, it's the cutest thing in the world! She is a mommy and a daddy's girl. She is just the center of attention all the time! One bad thing is that she is a horrible napper, and has been waking up at night at least twice a night! Ugh! So frustrating. (Irony: she is taking a nap right now!) She is just so curious as well. She wants be see and touch everything. It's just so amazing to see her discover the world. Whenever I am having a bad day, she always brightens it up. LOVE LOVE LOVE HER! Also.............. We bought a house!! We are so excited! We close March 15th! Which in a month! We have super busy packing, and making decisions about the house. (Also have you have packed a an infant? Not fun! She's into everything!) Busy, busy busy. We just can't wait to get into our new home and our of this rental! I will post pictures when we are settled. Not long after moving in, Kendall will turn one! like I said. Busy, busy, busy

6 Months Old

My baby girl is growing up so fast! I can't believe she is half way to being 1 years old!! Well we recently had her 6 month checkup. She is 15.9 pounds 40th percentile, and 24 1.2 inches long 10th percentile. Some of her accomplishments are: She is rolling around everywhere! She babbles constantly, and she has found a very high pitched voice, she now can grab things off of very low shelves(yikes!), she sits up very well, eating baby food (she loves it), she sleeps without a swaddle now, usually sleeping on her tummy, she laughs so much lately, it's so cute! She is such a sweetheart! I just love her to death! (Kendall is currently getting into trouble playing with something she shouldn't be! Hahahaha) The joys of motherhood. It is so amazing to see her learn new things, and explore. I just love being a mother. It is however so much more work! I constantly find myself cleaning up, buying something new, feeding, or holding my child, along with doing housework, dishes, laundry, cooking, and other cleaning. Kendall also gets grumpy in the evenings, so it makes it hard for me to be by my self then, since that is when Dave works. Anyway, life is awesome, and I can't wait to enjoy Kendall's first holidays!!!
